Collinsville are always striving to improve and speed up genetic gain within our flock using the latest technologies. One of the ways we do this is through Embryo Transfer twice a year. The first group in April and the second in December. 132 embryos were harvested from 15 donors and implanted into recipient ewes last April. The recipient ewes are due to lamb down in the Spring forming part of our “spring drop”.
The work was performed by a specialised Genetic Vet, Dr Margie Troubridge, from Brecon Breeders based at Willalooka in the South East.
